My body isn’t adjusting well to this whole working AM shift thing. I’ve been going to bed earlier and earlier, but I’m still not able to fall asleep until almost 2 in the morning…Then getting up at 5:45. Ugh! I took a nap today, only an hour, but it was GOOD.
After work today I went to Arby’s. There was this adorable little black cat standing in the drive thru. As I pulled up to the window it walked up to my driver’s side door and meowed loudly. I had to pet it! It just sat there, expecting love. I drove up the hill with my food (if you didn’t already know, Arby’s is my neighbor). I dropped the food off, changed my clothes, grabbed some cat food in a plastic baggie and made my way back down to Arby’s. I spent the next hour leading the cat back up to my apartment building. We would walk for a minute, he would want petted, then we would walk again, then he would stop and want more attention. Finally we got up the hill and halfway down the building when I ran into a downstairs neighbor. We talked for a good hour about various things, then I helped her re-pot a gigantic Chinese fern. She was very gracious.
